Plain english

The short version

This is the program disclosure the phone carriers require. It is also just what we'd tell you anyway.

  • Texts come from Rescue 1 Epoxy, a concrete coating company in Milton, Florida, run by Drew Becker.
  • You get them because you checked the consent box on the estimate form on this website, or because you told Drew yes on the phone.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of any service. Say no and the price and the work are exactly the same.
  • We text our own customers and our own missed callers. We do not text purchased lists and we do not send unsolicited marketing.
  • Message frequency varies. It depends on your project and where it is at.
  • Message and data rates may apply. That is between you and your mobile carrier.
  • Reply STOP to any message and the texts stop. Reply HELP and you get the business name and a way to reach a person.
  • Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Who sends the messages

Rescue 1 Epoxy is a concrete floor coating company serving Santa Rosa and Escambia County, Florida — Pensacola, Milton, Pace, Gulf Breeze, Navarre and Jay. It is owned and operated by Drew Becker, out of Milton, Florida. The legal entity behind the trade name is [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — from CP-575].

Messages are sent from 607-591-4062 through a messaging provider that connects to the U.S. wireless carriers on our behalf. Questions: drew@rescue1epoxy.com.

How you opt in

There are exactly two ways onto this list, and both of them start with you:

That is the whole list. We do not buy phone numbers, we do not scrape them, and we do not text a number somebody else handed us. If you are getting a text from us and you cannot remember agreeing to it, reply STOP and then email drew@rescue1epoxy.com, because we want to know how it happened.

This is not a lead generation program

To say it plainly, because it is the part that matters most: Rescue 1 Epoxy texts its own customers and its own missed callers. Messages go to people who contacted this business first, or who hired this business to do work. We never send unsolicited marketing messages, and we never message purchased, rented, scraped, or borrowed lists of any kind.

Consent is not a condition of purchase

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or of any service. You can get a free estimate, hire us, and have your floor coated without ever agreeing to receive a text. Nothing about your price or your job changes if you say no. If you would rather do everything by phone call or email, say so and that is what we will do.

How often the messages come

Message frequency varies. It depends on what you asked us and where your project is at. A week when your floor is being scheduled and coated has more texts in it than a month after the job is finished. There is no set schedule, no daily blast, and no newsletter.

What it costs you

We do not charge you to receive a text. Message and data rates may apply from your own mobile carrier, depending on your plan. If you are on a plan that charges per message, these count like any other message.

The messages

What actually gets sent

Four kinds of texts. Nothing else goes out under this program.

Every message type in the Rescue 1 Epoxy texting program.
Kind of message What sets it off How often
Answering your estimate request You filled out the estimate form on this website and checked the consent box. Varies. Usually a short back-and-forth about photos and measurements, then it is done.
Missed-call reply You called and Drew could not pick up — he is on a floor, or on shift. Varies. Sent in reply to a call we missed.
Your job, if you're a customer Scheduling your dates, telling you when he is on the way, and updates while the work is underway. Varies. Heaviest around your scheduled dates, quiet after.
Review request after a completed job Your job is finished and we ask how it went. Varies. Sent after a completed job.

Some of these are automated and go out the moment they are triggered, without anybody typing them at that hour. A missed call at eight at night still gets an answer at eight at night. You can always reply to any of them and reach a person — the replies come to Drew.

The two words

STOP and HELP

Stopping the messages

Reply STOP to any message from us. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all work the same way. You will get one final confirmation message telling you that you have been opted out, and after that nothing further.

Opting out of texts does not cancel your estimate and does not cancel work you have scheduled. It only stops the texts — we will call or email you instead. If you want to start again later, text START or just tell Drew.

If STOP does not work for any reason, call or text 607-591-4062 or email drew@rescue1epoxy.com and you will be removed by hand.

Getting help

Reply HELP to any message and you will get back the business name and how to reach a person. You can skip the keyword entirely and call or text 607-591-4062, or email drew@rescue1epoxy.com. There is no support queue. There is Drew.

Messages can be delayed or fail to arrive

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Texts move through networks we do not control, and sometimes one is late or never lands. If something is time-sensitive, call instead of assuming a text got through. The program works on most major U.S. mobile carriers; some plans, some prepaid accounts and some international numbers may not support it.

Your number stays with us

Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Not to a partner, not to an affiliate, not to a data broker. Our messaging provider and the phone carriers handle your number because they have to move the message. Nobody else does.

What we collect and how long we keep it is on the Privacy Policy page. The terms for the coating work itself are on the Terms of Service page.

If this page changes

The "last updated" date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what you get texted, or how often, will be told to you rather than quietly edited in.

Questions

Anything on this page you want explained, ask the person who sends the messages. Call or text 607-591-4062, or email drew@rescue1epoxy.com. Rescue 1 Epoxy operates from Milton, Florida, and serves Santa Rosa and Escambia County. Hours are Monday–Saturday, by appointment.

Reply STOP and the texts stop.

One word, typed into a reply. One confirmation message, then nothing. Consent to texts is never a condition of purchase — say no and the price and the work are exactly the same.
